 The Federal Government has extended the deadline for millions of Nigerians who are unable to link their National Identity numbers (NINs) with Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards to February 9. The mobile network operators (MNOs) said the Federal Government granted a further extension of the deadline to February 9 to allow subscribers who are yet to sync their SIMs with their NINs to do so. They also promised to start enrolling citizens to National Identity Database (NIDB) of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to ease the frustration,desperation and extortion of people by desiring to get enrolled and get their NINs by unscrupulous elements. The MNOs, acting under the aegis of the Association of Licensed Telecommunication Operators of Nigeria (ALTON), in a statement, said it had received confirmation of the deadline extension from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).  It very painful to hear the sad news of a student in department of tourism in Lagos state polytechnic(Laspotech), Ikorodu Campus. Abdul Afusat Opeyemi got involved in car accident on her way back to her hostel in Ikorodu to write her exam which started on the 5th of October and ended 9th of October,2020. The examination was to be done during the month of March but it was cancelled due to COVID-19 outbreak in the country. According to the source,the incident happened on the 4th of October,2020. Lagos state government has made a plan for reopening of schools in the state for both private and government schools On the 29th August 2020, Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced the tentative reopening for both private and secondary schools should commence on September 21. According to the state Ministry of Education,Folasade Adefisayo announced that only the present JSS3 and SSS2 students will be allow to resume on Monday,21 September. The resumption of schools will permit the present JSS3 students to get ready for their Basic Education Certificate Examination that will start on the 6th of October 2020 and also give SSS2 students the opportunity to prepare for their transition to SSS3. SCHOOL RESUMPTION DATE  IS NOT FIXED The Federal government exposed the falseness idea about schools resuming on July 13.According to the false report, the Federal Ministry of Education announced July 13 as the resumption date of schools for Jss3,SS3 and final year students in university across the country.The report was also spread across some social media sites and also in which student believe it real.
